Cooking Up a Storm is the social conscience of our restaurant. We truly believe in influencing and supporting our community, our city and our country through simple and practical projects. Much like following a recipe we believe in a step-by-step approach to do what we can to make a difference in people's lives.

All profits from the restaurant will go towards funding our projects and currently we will be piloting the following projects over the next couple of months:

* Workplace and job training for school leavers and individuals with barriers to work

* "Meal Banks" where we invite families and individuals facing financial hardship to complimentary dine with us

*Cookery classes for single parent families wishing to learn how to cook inspiring healthy and nutritious food on a budget

*Cookery classes for individuals diagnosed with food related health conditions such as diabetes or food allergens

We would love to hear from you or anyone you know who would benefit from these projects. Do get in touch or like us on Facebook/CookingUpaStorm

We are currently working with : The Princes Trust, Children 1st, Job Centre, Queen Margaret University, Crisis, Christians Against Poverty, Food for Thought, Appetite for Change, The Real Junk Food Project, Enable Scotland
